“Let go your conscious self, and act on instinct”
Since his early years, Sam’s creativity and inspiration have been sparked by stories, ranging from the mythic odysseys of classic movies and ancient literature, to the more personal and private prose we cycle in our minds.
Sam explores the human tendency to find meaning in stories by engaging primarily in portrait work, ranging from representational to metaphorical. Through these works, Sam aims to suggest a story beyond the image that speaks to our collective, unique, and sometimes unspoken psychological experiences.
Sam attended the University of Pittsburgh and earned his bachelor of science in psychology in 2025. Throughout his primary studies of psychology, philosophy, and theology at Pitt, Sam expanded his artistic endeavours, ranging from personal projects to commissioned work. Since graduating, Sam continues to create custom and personalized work for friends, family, and private collectors.
